Hello everyone,

I am back!!! For those that don’t know me, I am Lily your elected CSU President for the 2025/2026 academic year. This year is particularly special for me, as I’ve been re-elected to serve as your Chester Students’ Union President for a second term. I want to start by saying a massive thank you for putting your trust in me again. Being your President last year was one of the greatest privileges of my life as I got to be in the heart of the student community and I am really excited to build on everything we achieved together last year.

We’ve already started work here at the union to create our shared manifesto points which we are really excited to share with you all in the coming weeks. Keep your eye out the website and our social media (@CSUOFFICERTEAM) we are still very keen to hear from you all on where you would like us to prioritise our time, so please email me on SUPresident@chester.ac.uk or come and visit me at the CSU building on Exton Park campus.

It’s an absolute honour to welcome you all – whether you're returning to Chester or just joining us for the first time – to what I know is going to be an incredible year. I will be around campus over the summer having some fun, filming for our social media and of course getting your voice heard in all the committees I attend. We are getting ready to welcome you all in October and we have listened to your feedback to make your welcome week exactly the way you want it!

My time at university has not been an easy one, but it has been so rewarding. I have joined in with extra-curricular activities and events which have shaped my whole university experience for the better. I would always recommend students engage with the union (and I am not just saying that as your President) because there is so much on offer that you didn’t even know we did - from free toast, events, paid employment opportunities and of course our beloved societies. I encourage you all to explore one area of CSU this year to truly enhance your university experience.

I am so looking forward to this next year and all the challenges it will bring. Being your President is all about listening. It’s about fighting for the things that matter to students. And it’s about making sure this Union truly represents you. My door is always open to chat, complain or even a place for you to escape the madness of uni life.

Throughout the year I will be giving you all regular updates about what I’m getting up to and how you can get involved. I will always report back to you on any wins, progress and speed bumps we hit along the way.
