Hola! My name is Luis Martell Correia, and I am your VP Education for the 2025/26 academic year. Firstly, I would like to say how grateful I am for putting your trust in me as well as this opportunity to represent the student body. Having been a student for the past three years has made me immensely proud to belong to the Chester student community, and I would like to show my commitment to strengthening the community. 

My colleagues and I have already started working on very exciting stuff here at the union, from creating our shared manifesto points to planning Welcome Week! Make sure to follow us on our social media (@CSUOFFICERTEAM) to be in the know of what we are up to! As previously mentioned, we are still very committed to the students and would like to hear from you on where you would like us to prioritise our time, feel free to email me on su.education@chester.ac.uk or come and visit me at the CSU building on Exton Park campus! 

It's a real privilege to welcome you all, whether you're returning to Chester or joining us for the first time to what promises to be an amazing year ahead. The officers and I will be around campus over the summer, getting involved in some fun activities, filming content for our social media, and making sure your voice is heard in every committee we attend. We're looking forward to welcoming you this October! 

My time at university has had its share of highs and lows, but overall, the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Getting involved with societies helped me build lasting friendships and truly shaped my university experience in the best way. I’d really encourage each of you to explore at least one part of CSU this year, it could make a big difference in your own university journey. 

I am looking forward to this next year and all the challenges it will bring. Being your VP Education is all about listening to your concerns, fighting for the things that matter to you and ensuring this Union truly represents you, the students. 

I’ll be keeping you regularly updated throughout the year on what I’m working on and how you can take part. I’ll also share any wins, progress, and challenges we encounter along the way.
