Hi everyone!

I thought it was time I introduced myself for those who don’t already know me: I’m Will, your new elected CSU Vice President Student Life for the 2025/26 academic year. I have recently completed my degree in Sports and Exercise Science, and I can't wait to graduate officially in November.

The past week has been spent preparing, with a lot of training, getting me and my fellow officers ready for our roles. We have also been getting to know the wonderful team behind the SU, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure your student experience is the best it can be! I can't wait to work with the team on Welcome week, campaigns, and more … WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

I can’t wait to welcome you all back and welcome the new students this October. I can’t wait to greet you all and get to know you. I will be around all campuses, so feel free to grab me for a chat if you see me!

While in university alongside my studies, I took part in some extracurricular activities, mainly captaining the men’s rugby union team, which was a huge privilege for me. These extracurricular experiences truly made my university experience special, and I met some of my best friends through them. I would recommend that every student engage with the many sports and societies that are on offer here at Chester. On the 6^th of October, we will be having the sports and societies fair, where you can see what societies we have on offer. There are also opportunities to create societies, so keep an eye out for more information on how to do this.

I can’t wait for the year ahead and the challenges of this important role, and making sure all your voices are heard. Throughout this year, we will be giving you regular updates on what we have been up to and how you can get involved.
