Renaming the bar – The results are in!

Chester Students’ Union, in collaboration with UoC, held a competition back in November to re-name the University Bar on Exton Park Campus. This clearly got you all excited, and we know that many of you are eagerly waiting for an update on the winning name…
We had a total of 98 names suggested, including some crackers like:
- Joe’s BBQ Foot Massage
- Bar McBarFace (of course)
- The Stumble Inn
- Shark (we’re not sure either 🙈)
Our elected officers chose their 3 favourite names from the survey, and they were then given to students to cast their vote for their ultimate favourite. The results are as follows:
Millie’s: 201
The Cat and Gown: 164
The Den: 83
With a total of 448 votes, it’s clear you’re passionate about this bar and choosing a name that reflects your experience here. The winning name, Millie’s, has now been passed onto the University, and we’re awaiting a response from them in the new year.
A few different students suggested the name Millie’s, so we picked a student number out of a hat and have a winner: they’ve been contacted and have won a £50 voucher – well done!
