Making CSU a cosier environment

CSU says: CSU loved some of these ideas and will implement them where possible, and where budget allows.
At the time of writing, our refurb hasn't been 100% finished, so watch this space for more glow-ups!
Some ideas to make CSU more attractive &aesthetic to students
- Adding long horizontal mirrors along the back wall to give the illusion of more space / makes it more interesting to look at
- add more blankets and throws to the seating
- change harsh white light to warmer yellow lighting
- add some lamps and fairy lights ( individual source lighting) rather than having all one lighting system
- add some plants
- add some art - ask students for art to be designed and printed to put in CSU
- add photos of students (but modern & recent ones)
- add some other decoration like bunting or paper flowers to make the space look more interesting
- selfie spots / photo backgrounds
the library now (main reception area) looks cosy and aesthetic so this kind of vibe would be cool in CSU
