IT’S BACK! 😎 The biggest event of the year is just hours away: WELCOME FAIR 2024! Our favourite day is taking place this Wednesday 25^th September 2024, at 11am to 4pm, in the Sports Hall at Exton Park. This event is seriously unmissable – it really kicks off your university experience with a bang and gets you involved with the University and the wider Chester community straight away.

What can I expect?

There will be over 40 stalls as part of Welcome Fair, coming to welcome you to the Chester community and offer a range of exciting opportunities and, of course, freebies! This year, we’ve got free pizza, doughnuts, milkshakes and ice-cream, exclusive student discounts, and opportunities for part time work and volunteering gigs. You’ll be able to chat to community and university services and get to know everyone who’s here to support you throughout your entire university journey!

How do I find it?

The fair is in the Sports Hall at Exton Park, which is past Seaborne Library and the School of Education. Head in that direction and you will see signage and our staff/volunteers who will direct you to the queue. Keep an eye out on our social media for directions on the day too!

Can I bring someone if I’m nervous?

We get it! This week is a brand-new start and there’s so much going on. We hope you’ve met some new people and maybe even made some friends to go to the fair with, but if you’re really nervous about attending alone, email studentopps@chester.ac.uk and we will do our best to make you feel comfortable 😊

Do I need to bring anything?

The weather looks like it might be rainy (keep your fingers crossed for sunshine!), so bringing an umbrella is a sensible option! Other sensible options include comfy shoes and a bottle of water.

What else is happening this day?

At the same time as this fair, there is a Vintage Fashion Market in the Small Hall, in the centre of Exton park campus. You’ll find one-of-a-kind vintage sustainable gems from the 80's, 90's and Y2K to brighten up your wardrobe for bargain prices.
