From making Prehistoric pottery and Viking beads to exploring Chester's hidden historical treasures and a range of socials, we want to get stuck in, spark curiosity and have fun!

We work with our members to agree on the best dates and times. Because of our varied activities, our meeting places will change, but this will be announced in advanced.
We plan to run fortnightly sessions, with monthly socials.
Our society welcomes everyone with a curiosity for the past or crafting - no prior knowledge required! By learning ancient crafts or walking in historic footsteps, you can step outside the pressures of modern university life, and peek back through time into past lives from across the world.
We are determined to create an inclusive environment. Our meeting places will be wheelchair accessible where possible. There is no pressure to drink alcohol at any of our socials. If you have any particular needs or concerns, big or small, please contact us via csuarchaeologysoc@chester.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate.
