Chester Roleplay And Gaming Society

If you’re looking to find a welcoming community with hobbies spanning from Board Gaming and D&D to Warhammer, Nerf and all sorts of other nerdy interests – then we’re the society for you!

Whether you’re just finding your feet playing D&D, a seasoned veteran at MTG or simply want to try something new, we are always welcoming to new players. We provide a friendly and casual environment to meet new people while learning and playing alongside them (or against them if you want to be competitive).

Our values

  • To foster a welcoming and safe community.
  • To help meet new people with similar interests.
  • To allow people to express themselves and enjoy their hobbies
  • To have fun!

*Socials and Nerf run biweekly, specific dates will be announced on our social media.

We also run multiple events over the year including our CRAG-o-ween nights, Christmas Dinner and 36 Hour Gaming Event among others.
Feel free to join us over freshers week on Tuesday and Friday at our Board Game Café Events (more info found here: https://www.chestersu.com/welcome)

We pride ourselves by being a highly accessible Society, regardless of how familiar you may be. We also enjoy our vibrant and diverse community; the society is a great way to make friends throughout you time at the university. Overall, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we keep the society as entertaining as possible (which can be a real saviour when deadline stress creeps up over the year).

We have made it our mission statement to include everyone and anyone who wants to be part of our community. We do not tolerate any kind of harassment or bullying within the society. We also have multiple wellbeing officers who are willing to listen should you ever need to talk to someone.
We hold most of our events in Westminster, which is fully wheelchair accessible with lifts to all floors. Our council are always easy to contact and will try their hardest to accommodate for any member’s needs.
