In the current climate, we are spending more time than ever on screens. I have never experienced problems before, but recently I have been experiencing increased fatigue, headaches and even soreness. When all my lectures were in person in previous years, I used my laptop for a fraction of the time I do now, and i found much easier to concentrate.

Employers are required to provide eye tests for their employees who use screens. To meet the criteria for a free eye test from your employer, you must be considered a DSE user. This is someone who spends more than an hour per day in front of a screen for work.

The University as a result should provide, advise or work to reduce the cost of an eye test for it's students.
