Hi everyone,

I hope you’ve all had an amazing break and are now ready to dive back into the excitement of a brand-new term. On behalf of CSU, I’m thrilled to welcome each of you back to uni. Whether you're returning for another year or joining us for the first time, we are so excited to see all of your faces again.

The start of a new term is always a time of fresh opportunities so this year, we’re more committed than ever to ensuring your voices are heard and your time at university is filled with memorable experiences. Whether you're studying hard, looking for ways to get involved, or just trying to make the most of every moment, we’re here with plenty of opportunities to get stuck in.

What’s new?

We’ve been working tirelessly over the last few months to bring you some exciting opportunities and events. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming your way:

More events: This term is packed with exciting events designed to help you relax, make friends, and have some fun. From themed events brought to you by Summer your VP Student Life, to more Lily’s Pad events that include an Old-Fashioned Sports day. Of course, Summer is keeping our Board nights going here at CSU, they will be held the first Wednesday of each month. Make sure you keep an eye out on our socials and on our website to see what we have going on.

Campaigns: Each officer is bringing you a new campaign you can get involved in! From Sexual Health and Guidance, to Moodle re-design, and Summer will be highlighting the services available to you at the university.

Societies: If you’ve been thinking about joining a society, now is the time! There is still time to join and get involved in a community here on campus. Check out the full range.

As your Student Union President, my role is to ensure that your voice is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s through our student forum events, social media channels, or face-to-face interactions, we are committed to listening to your concerns, ideas, and feedback. If there’s something you want to see changed or improved, please let us know – we’re here to make sure your experience on campus is as best as it can be.

I hope you all take full advantage of everything CSU has to offer - get involved in a new activity, attend an event, or simply take time to connect with others.
